Default HOMEPAGE SHORTCUTS???

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

Only my old BB the 6230, I had all sorts of short cuts setup. For instance from the Home Page, I'd press 'M' for the mailbox, or 'R' for the alarm. Is this a feature of the 7100t? Must I scroll around all the time with no relief?

Thanks

hey, i know you. but from EDMP, lunar and various other forums around atlanta as well as my own forum (the alabama scene site).

the only shortcuts i know of are the ones listed in the manual though:

ON THE HOME SCREEN
Return to Home screen from any other screen --> Press End
Lock the keyboard --> Hold (*) or click Keyboard Lock
Unlock the keyboard --> Press Send + (*) or double click Trackwheel
Switch between Default and Vibrate notification profiles --> Hold #
Switch to another application --> Hold Alt. Press Escape. Continue to hold Alt. Select application. Release Alt to switch to that application

Actually, for me it's the other way. send+* doesn't work, but *+send does.

well, usually when they have a 'press this + that' it means at the same time rather than 'hold this. press that.' ;)

Yeah you do know me. I recognize you too. Man, we are really into some forums =) This new 7100 is pretty sweet. I can't put mine down. Thanks for the input - I was afraid that might be the answer.

I was in AL last weekend visiting family. I have tons in birmingham. Let me know if you're ever in atlanta. my email is below.

will do man. i came up to the Mark the other night for Hagen's show.. that was quite nice. i was going to go check out Compound and Bed Bug or Devin's show this weekend, but i forgot that i was on-call... looks like its the Auburn-Kentucky game instead (darn.. hehe).

I had my 7100 at the club the other night - this thing is BRIGHT! everyone loved it though.. definitely a nice little conversation piece to say the least

Hmm, nomenclature confusion. I was actually doing neither, but instead a sequential press - press and release this, then immediatel press and release that.

That combination unlocks it on mine as well - "*" then, Send key.
