Default Msg and Call logs gone

Please Login to Remove!

As the title states both of these are now suddenly empty. I did not delete them...even this morning I sent several text and they have now vanished as well. Will post again later if the same event occurs. Any ideas why this happened?

Sounds like you have memory issues. Check and post your available memory here (options > about)

Pull the battery (with the device on) and then check again and post.

If it seems to be low on memory, try some of these links:

according to verizon this is a known issue and there is no real fix. they said just pull the battery every few days to "help" with this issue.

i am getting rid of my pearl because i dont need a phone that i have to pull the battery out all the time... and i have tried all the fixes and just as soon as you think you have it fixed... it all gets dumped again.. the calls and emails.

True, there is no fix, only good maintenance habits.

Check your other thread where you posted for details.

5Mb isn't enough free memory. On the 8100 you should have at least 20Mb. On the 8130 you should have at least 15Mb. There are fixes for this. One thing that isn't mentioned in the threads is that too much use of the "switch application" feature or alt + esc will cause the device to automatically delete emails and call logs.

I have had the pearl for months and I have never once had my logs disappear and I dont pull the battery daily. I just monitor what I install and I use the memory card.

What are you doing when you get this error? Are you in a particular app? Are you opening an app?

there is your problem right there you need to delete some stuff. I dont run any after market themes anymore they wind up costing precious memory.

go to options status and check memory then delete those themes and see what it is then. There is no need to keep multiple themes installed you can only run one at a time.

This is mine with:
Themes: Preinstalled only
Games: 0
Misc apps:
facebook
berry a code
google sync
ascendo money
bbsmartview
bb weather
2 gigs worth of music.
