It was my understanding that the 7250 should be equivalent to the 7100 in terms of processing power and memory. Is this correct?
Also, I was under the impression that 1xRTT data speeds are generally faster than GPRS data speeds. Has this been other people's experience?
I've been comparing a new 7250 on Alltel to a 7100 on T-Mobile, and it seems like browsing on the 7100 is noticably faster. Speed tests on both devices yield about the same results, but it seems like when I'm browsing on the 7250, I'm finding myself waiting a lot for the device's processor to "catch up" and the spinning hourglass to go away.
I believe this has been discussed in a post recently, actually, and I believe the consensus has been exactly what you stated, that the 1xRTT data speed is generally faster than the GPRS. As for the processing power and memory, that is correct as well, I believe.

I agree that 1x is faster than GPRS, but always get a chuckle out of when I enterprise activate a GPRS and 1x BlackBerry at the same time, 95% of the time, the GPRS device is done first. <shrug>
