Man is this thing loud now.....i have the BB on lowest volume and i have to keep the earbud out of my ear to avoid blowing my eardrum. Is this common for all jabra users?

With the new software upgrade, all bluetooths are louder, clearer and less static.

I got a motorola hs805 on e-bay for $23. Cheap, somewhat light, comfortable and uses AAAbatteries. The sound is just loud enough (even at 85mph with the windows down) and for the week Ive owned it it has been reliable.Plus I use it every day and the battery still isnt dead. Search on e-bay for the hs805 there are tons for under $30

I'm glad you got a good deal on one but that won't solve my issue. I have tried all other headsets (prior to software upgrade) and the jabra fit best for me. Just hoping for some fix for this.

Have you tried turning the volume down on the eariece? I don't have any problem with my headset being too loud.

On the 7520 the Jabra's volume can be controlled by the headset volume AND the BB volume setting...Try it! It keeps your eardrums intact

Previous to the update my 7520 volume had no control over anything when using Bluetooth, I had to use the headest volume. Post update the 7520 volume control and the headset volume control seem to be linked somewhat. But this on an HS850 so maybe it's different for Jabra.

I've owned the BT250v for about a month now, and I've not ever had an issues with volume at all. There are volume controls on the unit, as well as being able to control it on the BB itself. Perhaps working them both to be able to find the best level for you would work...?

Hate to be dumb but exactly what "new software update" are we talking about here? As to the 250 built in volume control all it does is change the BB volume. Take a look at your BB while you press the buttons on your 250 and you will see the same thing that you see when you adjust the volume with the trackwheel happening to the BB volume indicator.

i have also found that the volume on my hbh-660 has gone up some after the update. didn't need it at all, but it is always nice to have the extra headroom for really noisy environments.
i have found that the best way to adjust the volume is by lowering the volume all the way while NOT in a call. this adjusts the headset volume seperately from the BB volume. then once in a call i can adjust the volume further to find the optimal setting.
if anyone is looking for a good headset for the 7520 i highly recommend the hbh-660 with a jabra eargel. i have used many headsets and so far this combination is the best. really comfortable and very loud when needed.
