I have installed the Blackberry Manager that came with my new Blackberry 8310, when I want to use the media manager it comes up with the error "Media Manager9 Module has stopped working" I have searched the forum but cannot find anything. Please see the attached Image.

Can anyone help me, I am using Windows Vista Home Premium.

I switched from a Pearl to a 8310 last week, and thought I would give DM 4.3 a try - what a mistake!! Granted, the UI is nicer, but the functionality was junk! I also had trouble with Media Manger loading, Outlook synch, Bluetooth connectivity, etc. I messed with it for a day or two, and went back to DM 4.2-SP2 ( https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do ). In the course of about an hour (most of that was installation time) I was up and running perfectly! I use it for all functions with 2 totally different phones / OS (my Curve and wifes Pearl) on one laptop, and it always performs very well.

Hi All,

I have persisted with the Media Manager 9 and still keep getting the same issues. I have tried downloading the older version but it DOES NOT have the media manager component added to it Or am I looking in the worng section of the downloads

Roxio Media Manager 9 is not compatible with Vista. this is a known issue, and is the reason why there is a Desktop Manager package distributed without it.

Well that probably explains why the bloody thing will not work

I have been trying for ages, I am new to Blackberry's and was not aware of that.

Media Manager is included in the Desktop Manager download (BlackBerry - Desktop Software - BlackBerry Desktop Software at BlackBerry.com), and I run it on Vista without issue. Start on the page from the link, and navigate to the download page. There are several different versions available for download, make sure you do the one that is 200+ MB (Blackberry desktop software version 4.2 Service Pack 2) - the other one is only 52 MB, and does not include Media Manager.
