Default "F" key malfunctioning, Grounds for a new, free 8320?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey the F key on my blackberry has started to work whenever it feels like it. I can be typing a message, and if i didnt proofread it, any word with the letter f in it will be mispelled ("malunctioning" instead of "malfunctioning, stuff like that). When i had a t809, t-mobile would send a replacement for free, so long as i sent the original one back and it wasnt water damaged. Does the same go for blackberrys? its beginning to be a pain to have to go back through long messages and correct alot of words, made even worse by the fact that the spell checker doesnt correct text messages. Anyone know if i'd have to pay for a new one, and if so how much? any feedback or course of action is gladly appreciated

Call T-Mobile for sure, but hardware defects are replacable under warranty (for free).

No, the lady ended up spilling coffee on it and we replaced it. I fixed it myself by replacing the contact inside the keyboard for the s key (and washing it all out with alcohol after the coffee spill.

This usually happens after a drop but she swore to me she didn't drop it.

I have a spare 8320 now...I just took a contact out of an old 7100 and replaced it. Good as new! The coffee washed out, too. It just got in the keypad.
