Default Voicemail alert

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to set the 8310 to beep once every few minutes when there is a voice mail waiting? It appears that you can only set it for the initial notification, but if you miss that, you don't get another notification (except for the icon). I would like a audio alert that goes off until the VM is acknowledged.

Thanks

No, there is no option for that. You might try BBAlerts

I Dl'd bbalerts and it does not seem to trigger an audio event. It does change the LED color, but what I would like is a periodic beep until the VM has been acknowledged.

Try AlertMatrix... currently RC1 is available for testing/trial... there's info and a link in the aftermarket software section.

Default BB Alerts will do the trick

BB Alerts will do it. I think it's kinda lame that this function isn't native in the Curve (it's a basic function for all cell phones) and that we have to purchase software to do something so simple and obvious, but anyway I downloaded the trial of BB Alerts and it will do this. It just takes some work to get it all set up - you have to set it up not only in BB Alerts Software, but then also with the Profile of your active alert.

For example if you're on Loud profile, then go into your ringer profiles and chose advanced, then go into Loud and you'll see one of the things in the list is BB Alerts - go into that and set it up. You have to set it up in both places. I set mine up and if I miss a call, get a voicemail, or a text message it chirps every 60 seconds until I acknowledge it.

Works like a charm, though still kinda lame to need 3rd party software for something so simple.
