What does that little button do on the wired headphones that are included with newer model blackberries (specifically the 8130 Pearl)??

On my curve, when I'm listening to music, it acts as the pause/play button. I've never used it as a wired headset so I don't know exactly what it does, but I would imagine it does what 'cjcarbone' says.

...it answers calls when they are coming in. may hang up to, not sure. never tried. you can't press it though, to make a call. still need to do that via your phone.

With my 8100 I can have different uses with it. A short press of the button will answer calls. It will also mute calls. A medium press will end calls. A long press will activate voice dialing.

I prefer it over blue tooth.
