I'm considering signing up for myblackberry.us MDS service and I'd like to know about other people's experiences both positive and negative.
Also I have a couple questions about the service in general.
Is there a contract (like cellphone services) that binds me into using the service for a set amount of time?
On the website, they are saying that there is a one-time fee of $39.99 for instant messaging services via Webmessenger. I was under the impression that there was $48 annual fee for webmessenger. Which is correct?
The only thing I found to be a pain about this service is when I originally wanted to use it you had to have XP and Outlook 2003 installed to sync it up (according to the instructions).
Other than that, I don't think I've heard any other complaints
I have the service -- no complaints at all. You pay only for what you use -- that is, 1 month at a time (if that's what you want). $10/month and the service is great.
I have the latest outlook, so it's no big deal for me. However, I don't even really use the integrated email -- I've been sticking with the BWC. It's more useful for me for the IPPP service book.
I also haven't tried the webmessenger service through them yet, but I'll let you know how it goes.
I'm think I'm going to go with the service since its the cheapest but I wish they made it easier to pay. I'll have to wait 5-7 days for my paypal account to be verified and to have the funds transfered from my bank account to my paypal account. Why can't they use payment backed by credit cards like most online vendors.
My guess is that he's trying to reduce as much overhead as possible. Anyway, when I signed up, I had an option for the first month free, with no strings attached. I could try it out for a month and if I didn't want it I could just cancel it. That also gives you time to set up a paypal account.
Yeah this makes no sense.. Paypal is not only backed up by credit card, it can be backed up by your bank account. I never have money in my paypal account. Ive never heard of making this request. just seems strange he would do it that way. If the transaction posts it posts.
