First post here so bear with me. I got an 8100 a few months ago. I have been a longtime Palm (not Treo) user.
I do not have Outlook on my computers (just Outlook Express) and do not want to buy it for $170 as I recently bought an Office 2007 package without Outlook.

Is there any third party, possibly free, program I can use to organize addresses and appointments on my desktop that will seamlessly synch with the Pearl? Is it possible to buy an older version of MS Outlook on the cheap? Any gentle input much appreciated!

Outlook Express address book will sync, and Google Calendar! I believe.

You can download MS Office trial for free 60 days on their website and then delete it when you're finished. Just a thought.

Thanks for the responses. I have my contacts and schedule on Palm desktop software. Converting the contacts to Outlook Express and then synching with the BB generates a lot of errors.

I thought about the trial download but would really like to synch my appointments etc for more than two months!

I looks like Outlook is the only way to go so I'm going to see if I can find an older version.
