My 1st BB arrives next week.
I'm curious why BB users don't like touch screens.

They hate change. Good thing RIM is a little more insightful.

I have used touch screen devices for years. Palm, Windows CE and Mobile included. Digitizers need to be calibrated every so often. The environment changes digitizer performance, heat, cold and humidity. As often as not you touch something you didn’t want to and have to go back and redo. Digitized devices use more battery power. A fresh charge seldom lasts a full day with light to normal usage resulting in the need to charge or use a battery extender. Option buttons are large and take up large portions of your screen. This is the main reason screen need to be larger. Also using more battery to power the larger screen. You may as well get used to carrying a stylus as some things just cannot be done without it. As you use a stylus your screen protector gets dull in highly used areas so change you screen protector often.
OK, that’s enough for now. You get the point? I still use my Palm devices from time to time. After using the trackball you soon realize how much of a pain the stylus is.

You're thinking old school. Most of the newest touch screen devices do not use a stylus. Only Palm and unskinned WM devices still use them.

No worse then face grease. Name any cell phone that doesn't get that when you talk on it.

on a phone the touch screen is total bs, lack of real estate for normal fingers.

Wirelessly posted (my new touch button BB)
I have never been a fan of touch screens! Could never get used to them. The iphones touch screen is quite nice! The touch on an LG VU isn't to bad either. Would I consider it in the future? Possibley.
I do like the keyboard and the tactile feel of it!

Absolotely not! Maybe a mouse-type cursor guided by the trackball - bit NO touchscreen.

After using a Palm for years, I am so happy to not mess with the screen at all. I also like 'real' keys for typing.

touch screen is not as bad as you think when used in the graphical UI (such as icons), but it is bad for use in a text based UI (such as BB OS).

To me, touchscreens are pretty to look at, fun to tap around on, but not my cup of tea.
I'll take keyboard and trackball for 300, Alex...

there is nothing wrong with a touchscreen...it's something that we will all have to get used too anyway because that is what is going to take over no matter what...so when the thunder comes out and has so many more possibilties than the blackberries that are out now are you not going to switch simply because it has a touch screen?...i understand where you are coming from because it is alot easier for me to type on my curve then it will ever be on the iphone but times change and some times you just have to roll with the punches
