I think its a pretty safe assumption that you will need the Plazmic Theme Reader for Plazmic themes, especially if you are experiencing issues after removing it.

I have the same OS, and this theme loads fine.

You can set it to combined but it will probably have a blank spot in the Bottom Zen where there SMS and MMS icon is supposed to be.

just love the colours and icons in this theme.. very nice. I sometimes don't mind the "blank" icon space on themes, but for this theme, I decided to (once again) split messages/sms and ended up liking that decision (for all themes).
