There are a few that use maps stored on your SD card but that solution will set you back for the price of the maps. A free solution is hard to come by ...

The solution don't must be free. I pay rather for one set of maps as every month for sim card + internet connection and I can decide if I need a map update and pay for it.

One Point must be a must-have:

Live track aim input NOT at the pc.

Please check out the yellow sticky at the top of the GPS & Maps section. It has reviews of most of the known map applications. As said above there are few if any that allows you store maps on the SD card and AFAIK, they are not free.

From reading your requirements, you will be better served by buying a stand alone GPS navigation device which has the map data stored and doesn't require a cellular connection.

@dubdub

Thx will check the GPS & Maps section.

I got the 9500 as a present but be happy with my Curve(+Wifi ^^).

Now the Storm is my Media Player/Stick xD and if I found a navi software also an offline navi. =) That is my intention. =)

Normally I don't need a navi but if I can add this function it will be used.
