you can choose with no problems another carrier to get your version.
in the package is always a standard blackberryfile. the only thing you must watch is the correct device. (and your version of choice)
after installing the package on your pc you must delete vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader. then you can connect your bb with the usb cable.
