I own the 8100 Pearl for a few months now.

First, it was a BIS. Since today it turned into a BES.
The activation went well. All is working.

But here's my problem;

I go to the menu and press; Lock keypad.

It's going to the lockscreen, but comes back into menu.
After I press; ''Lock keys'' again, it stays locked.

But after a couple of minutes, the menu is visible again.

So the keys don't stay blocked.

Sorry for my little bad English.


Someone's got an answer or solution?

Is this a configuration ?

Is this a configuration ?

With the device on pull the battery and then replace it. After the device boots try it again. In the future a shortcut for this is pressing the "*" key and holding it down for a second. This will lock the keys.

Not the solution

It stays locked for about 5 minutes, and when I press a button I see the menu and I can use the blackberry without unlocking

Hmmm... Well I am assuming that it's something related to the policy that was placed on it when you activated for BES. I will wait for a BES Guru to address this.

Can I find this somewhere in the configuration of my 8100, of do I have to call to the administrator?
