I don't believe this is possible. I was trying to do this with my 8700g and couldn't, and I cat on my 8320.

You can't create your own but if you disable dial from home screen many short cuts become available to you!

With "dial from home screen" disabled you an simply hit the "B" for Browser. There are many more shortcuts but, as said above, you can't customize them.

First you need to go to the Phone module (press the green send key). Then press the menu key and go to Options > General Options. Set the Dial from Home Screen to No.
