Default BES Express

Please Login to Remove!

I was reading in another post that the BES express is a free installation with 1 license. Is this true??? Also, can I transfer extra licenses to the BES Express installation so I can run a test bed. I am assuming that the BES express will work with my DMZ router. Any thoughts???

For BES Express, check out this link:
BlackBerry

For configuring the BB Router on DMZ, check out this link:
Livelink - Redirection

As far as I know, the Client Access Licenses can be used on another BES, provided that it is not sharing the existing BESMgmt db. Go figure, good luck! ;)

If you have a limited user base, download the Small Business version, it is also free and has 10 CALs from the outset. Using it for test with three handsets here.

Are they the right kind of CALs? BES Express uses different licenses than the "full" BES.

BES Express and Small Business Edition BES use the same CAL's. Check the licence thread link in my sig for more info. Likewise, the newly announced BlackBerry Professional BES will also use the Small Business CAL's.
