Hello,

Is there any way to only view incoming messages in your Messages box? I have a 7520 model, by the way. I know you can press ALT+I to view all the incoming messages, but what I was wondering was if there is a permanent setting I could change so sent messages do not appear in my Messages box and automatically just appear in my Sent folder. Thanks for any help.

It's a Message List Box not an In box!

The messages you sent from the blackberry appear so you know their status (if they were successfull or failed).

If they annoy you too much, create a search rule and assign a short cut key to it. This willl allow you to cull all your sent messages in one hit.

from Messages => (wheel) Search =>
leave name blank change Show to Sent Only
You can set Type to All for everything or select e-mail
(wheel) Save =>
type in a title such as "All Sent Msgs"
Assign a shortcut key (make sure you remember it)
(wheel) Save =>
[This will then display all your sent items after a few seconds]
scroll to any date heading (wheel) Delete Prior

Then when they build up too much for your liking
go to Messages
press alt + (your selected shortcut key)
and your sent list will be displayed for you to cull.

I like to cull!
