Hey all, I'm so glad I found this site, it looks like a wealth of information.

I've had my Pearl 8120 2 days now and already I can see how amazing it is, not just that model but BlackBerry phones as a whole.

I went onto the BlackBerry site to find some new applications and found that they have a Windows Live Messenger application. So I directed my BlackBerry browser to Instant Messaging, designed exclusively for BlackBerry and clicked on the link.

But the page title changes to 'Incorrect Browser' and displays an error saying that the page uses ActiveX controls and they only work in Internet Explorer. Which means I can't download the app.

So I set the BB Browser to emulate Internet Explorer and the page displayed another error, so my question is, how can I download from the BlackBerry site when the BlackBerry browser doesn't allow me to?

I would go download www.operamini.com and use that it works much better than the default browser and it shows full web pages. I can even see my myspace page the way I see it on the computer

Sorry I should have added that I have the same error on Opera Mini. Its the same error you get if you access the page on a PC based browser.

you may wanna contact your service provider and see if they are having issues with their internet connection. if not, there may be something on the page that isn't supported by blackberry's OS browser and it wont let you open the page.

This issue has nothing to do with the BB browser. That page is designed for desktop installation of applications. You need to find an OTA (over the air) link and load that with the BB browser.
