Default 8300 w/ receiver or 8310

hello,
i just got the 8300 accidently and now before i return it i wanted to ask if the gps is any faster with a good receiver and the 8300 compared to just the 8310. i will probably be using telenav. any help would be really appreciated.. thanks so much.

same speed gps, same BlackBerrys. the 8310 just has the additional gps built in. Why not get it?
