Default Trying to understand BB Maps

Please Login to Remove!

I may begin work on a LBS-type Blackberry app very soon and I like to leverage the BB Maps application from my app. What I'm wonder is if the map image, or whatever is returned from a Maps invocation, can be embedded within another app. I'd like to embed such an image on a screen along with text, and UI widgets.

According to the 'GPS and BlackBerry Maps Development Guide' and the sample code it contains, it appears that you can invoke Maps but it then just takes up the whole screen. It doesn't return an image or a component that could be used elsewhere. Is this correct?

Any guidance in this area much appreciated!

you can only launch BB Map application with some parameters (show pinpoint, show route), but you can't get some component and tweak it to your needs and you can't register any listener to react on user actions inside BB Maps.

Look at Users
I didn't work with it deeply but, looks like it can help you
