Welcome to the forums Vinnie!

Here you go but I don't think it works with Sprint or Verizon.... I'll do some more digging.

Instant Messaging, designed exclusively for BlackBerry

Ok, you can try it. I have read that using it will incur text message charges with Verizon not sure on Sprint.

I would bite the bullet and spend a few bucks on JiveTalk, it's is the best IM Client hands down, it will do all of them in one slick package. Here is the link and you can get a free 30 day trial. JiveTalk uses data only so if you have an unlimited plan knock yourself out!

BeeJive :: JiveTalk mobile messenger - instant messaging to go

Good Luck!

Windows Live Messenger
Fully-integrated, real-time messaging for Windows® Live Messenger users on BlackBerry smartphones. MSN® meets the BlackBerry smartphone.

Hmm, any idea on if it incurs text charges on Fido/Rogers?
I would get JiveTalk, but my wallet is downstairs, and after all the snow I've shovelled in the past two days, I refuse to move from this chair haha.

As it turns out:
Downloads via a USB connection are not enabled for this product. Please visit our mobile download site at using the browser on your BlackBerry® smartphone.

My web browser does not function, I have to use opera mini, which does not allow me to download anything (prompts me to use the web browser, which doesn't work).
Looks like jivetalk is my option after all.

Try mig33. It supports Yahoo, Google, AOL, as well as MSN.

As far as I can tell, mig33 needs to be downloaded/installed via the wap site. Really unfortunate as it seemed awesome.

Downloaded webmessenger and will install on my Pearl soon. Thanks Dawg =)

Webmessenger seems to think I'm out of coverage when I'm not. Does anyone know if this works on a data plan and not with blackberry BIS

Thanks for the heads up. Everything comes at a cost one way or another I guess.

I have an unlimited plan but this still seems unable to connect

Hmm. This is weird. I added my yahoo account, and tried to connect again, and it worked. I'm connected to msn messenger via my blackberry's webmessenger (yay!).

You guys might wanna check it out and see if it works for you as well.
My phone is vibrating twice every time I get a message.

My phone usually vibrates twice when I get a txt message. Is this just a setting or are these messages counted as text messages and not part of my unlimited browsing package? Please let me know as I have only 2,500 txts hehe.

It's just a setting. Go to "profiles", "advanced" and click on the one you're using, usually it's "normal" and change the amount of vibrations for that program. That's all .
