Default Phone Function Dies - Needs a reset - HELP

Please Login to Remove!

Seems like every few days my phone won't make calls and needs a hard reset. When I push the Call button the phone program doesn't open. If I scroll and select the phone program icon it clicks, but nothing happens and the screen to see call history and input never shows up.

After a hard reset it is good, but this is super annoying. Anyone else experiencing this problem? I have an 8130 Pearl from Verizon.

Don't know. But check your free memory. Who knows. http://blackberryfaq.com/index.php/H...n_my_device%3F

Memory is:
Free: 7759105
Total: 50462720

Is that low on these units?

There is no firm threshold. But I think most will sayyou need to do better. See the link and do what you can to recover some memory. See if that fixes your problem.

EDIT: I think what may be going on is the hard reset frees up some memory, and phone works until memory gets too low again. Hence the idea to free up some memory.

Your suggestion sounds on point. I will give it a try and hope it helps.

Anyone else experience this? My Girlfriend has the same phone in pink and she does also.

Low memory issues are not uncommon. That's why it is in Frequently Asked Questions.

Post an update after you've given it a try.
