Default Time before receving a mail

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I've noted that sometimes mails needs 10 minutes or more before appearing on my blackberry whereas they appeared instantly on Microsoft Outlook,
Does someone know how can I fix it ?
Thanks
Léo

Welcome to the forum.
Are you using BIS, or BES?

Then there's no problem to be fixed.
BIS takes about 15 minutes on average for mail delivery to the BlackBerry.

Yahoo and GMail have specialized integration with BIS, and often get near instant message delivery... however a typical POP or IMAP mail account will take about 10-15 minutes.

Depends on your mail server.
If you are using Microsoft Exchange Server, Lotus Domino, or Novell Groupwise... you could install and configure BES Express.
It's a more involved process, but its an option.

This would also require you to provision a BES data plan on your wireless account.

If BES isn't an option for you... then there's nothing you can do.

You can configure your mail server to forward to your BIS email account, and use the reply-to on the BIS settings to have a reply-to of your personal mail set on your outbound emails.
