Unlimited data plan (AT&T)

can i use the unlimited data plan, $15, Feature code: AFMEDIA NETUNL, for a blackberry, or would i have to add one of the specific blackberry plans? is it still true that if you add the $15 data plan under a regular phone, then switch the sim, you will be good to go? or does blackberry use something specific? like if i want to set up to receive my email automatically to my blackberry, would that work for me?

To get full use of your BB, you would need to add a BB specific plan.
The way a BB gets true push email, is it uses RIMs servers.
You could probably use the unlimited PDA, but from what i understand, if ATT catches it, they will automatically switch you to the BB plan.
Also, you couldnt use BBMessenger without a BB plan.

this is from the at&t website:
Access and manage e-mail from up to 10 ISP accounts with a BlackBerry® Wireless handheld. Send, receive, forward and reply to messages while on the go! Service is not available at all times in all places. View Map and Coverage Limitations.
Plan options include text, IM or video messaging, and/or tethering options*. Tethering enables you to connect your wireless device to your laptop via Bluetooth or a connection cable. Certain usage restrictions may apply. See Explanation of Rates and Charges for details.

its only $30 for unlimited NET, add $15 for unlimited messaging and then whatever you like for a voice plan. if you are getting a device you should know what you can and cannot do with certain plans. though with AT&T you are fortunate that you do not need to add the data plan (of course it is recommended)

If you get any of the non BB data plans the phone will give you the dreaded "Data Connection refused" message. There is no way to use data on a BB without a BB provisioned data plan.

welcome to the forums. you can use internet without a BB data plan, you can use the mediaNet plans on ATT. you just have to set it up properly. still all you get is internet, and not all apps will work. no push email or PIN or any other BB specific services.

My 8310 with $30 AT&T data plan doesn't have which of those? Could I watch YouTube videos or listen on my Sirius account with Sprint?
