Default Problem Deploying Software

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying to deploy some software via BES. I have previously deployed the DST patch and that worked fine. Now I want to deploy Google Maps and have downloaded the files put them in the correct directory run Loader /Index which created the xml files etc but when I go to BES Software Configuration and create the config I cannot see the google apps under Application Software. I can see the DST patch from previous deployment but not the Google stuff.
Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong. Have tried re-indexing Google app but still nothing showing up in BES

In order for it to index properly you need an alx file. Have you got this in the same directory?

Is Google maps in it's own directory with it's own .alx?

Something like...

<~~path-to-software~~>\Shared\Applications\GoogleMaps

Are you running the loader.exe from the same path?

Something like

<~~path-to-software~~>\AppLoader\loader.exe /index

Does a .pkg and .xml file get created in

<~~path-to-software~~>\Shared\Applications\GoogleMaps

What is in the .pkg and .xml files?

You could also try doing a /reindex as well as a /index?

Or delete the .pkg .xml files if they exist and just /index again.

Default Problem Deploying Software - Resolution

Thanks for help guys you gave me the answer. I opened alx file and found that it was referring to subdirectory structure for various versions. I in my 'wisdom' had deleted the subdirectories and just gone with the files for the version I was deploying. Once I put directories back and re-indexed it worked a treat. More haste less speed is my motto today <g>
