Default Answering call from holster

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

Dont know what I am doing wrong here. Most of the time when the phone rings in the holster (leather pouch) and I pull it out it goes directly to the voice answering "thingie" and I dont get the chance of accepting the call. I have tested this by calling myself from a land line and everything seems fine. Just wondering if theres a setting I need to adjust, possibly the call is getting directed to the voice mail to early but have no idea if I can change this.

regards

Try checking in Profiles....if you have normal active, for example, go into advanced at the bottom of that menu after pushing the track ball, and it should pull up the options to answering the phone.

I have seen this first occur with the 7100i with the nylon pouch. . . the problem seems to be attributable to hitting End Call button in the process of pulling device out of holster...essentially ignoring call and sending caller to voicemail.

I'm not sure if your cell phone provider does this but with Sprint, I called customer service and they extended the ring time on my BB. Mine was going to voicemail too quick.

Hi

I should have checked the BBfaqs as I found the answer there. My voicemail is accessed by dialling 901 so I just dialled **61*901**30# and my BB rings for 30 seconds now before going to voicemail.

once again i found help quicker then calling tech support from alltel.
i read the post about answering calls from the holster i had the same problem but didn't know it till today. on the FAQ it said the quickest was to call your provider.first the tech said the phone didn't come with a holster
and them told ne to hold which i was and while i was holding when to FAQ found the answer there. what a waste of time i think the cell phone people should hire people who actual use the phones for tech support.
