The answer to this may be very simple, but I have been unable to figure this out.
While in BB messenger, when you click on a contact and then click the "BB key" you can select ""view contact info"

My question is what determines what information that is viewable?
The reason I ask is because I changed my email address a long time ago, but My girlfriend is telling me under that menu that shows my info on her BB it shows my old email addess and not my current one.

Is there away that I can edit my email address on my end that in turn will be viewable by those on my contact list that enter the "view contact info" menu to view my contact info?


I hope I explained thouroughly enough of what i'm trying to do....

I think this information is stored locally based upon what is received at the time the contact is added. If you wish to change it I think you will have to send a new invite to them and have them accept.

You can edit your contact info that shows to other people in BBM, obviously.

You can also edit the other contact's Name and info it show. For instance, if your friend show as "Abigail Adams" on your contacts, you can edit that say only "Abby" if you like.

So if I change it on my phone it will interactively update everyone that already has my info stored? Always learning! That's sweet!

I believe changes to "my contact info" will update the others, yes. Pretty sure.

But if I change "your" info, it only stays on my device.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but my question is similar, but different, so I didnt know if I should start a new thread...

So when I look at a persons contact info, some people have just their PIN and some people have PIN and email adds, and some have nicknames and display names and PIN... is there anyway to add all the info to each contact?? I thought if I added their info to my Address book, it would be there, but it's not. Am I missing something? and how do I go about doing all this?

(also please let me know if I should post this as a seperate thread, thanks)

The other user would need to add that information to their BBM info.
