Default Not able to sync the Calendar at all.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi.

The Problem
We are not able to sync the Calendar at all. I have been working on this problem for a week straight with no luck.

CDO.DLL ver 6.5.7651.61 is the same on both BES and Exchange servers

The setup is as follows
Server 2003 SP2
Exchange 2003 SP2
BES ver 4.1.4.26

Thanks

Geo

Have you checked if Calendar sync is enabled in IT policy as well as Wireless sync.

Any CDO related errors in MAGT Log? Do you see calhelper.exe in the processes list?

This is the setup that is in place.

Under the users Properties/Pim Sync/
Wireless Sync Enabled = True

IT Policy
Pim Sync Policy Group
Disable all Wireless Sync = False
Disable Calendar Wireless Sync = False

This is what I get under MAGT log when I Make an appointment in the Calendar

[40700] (04/11 14:20:16.765):{0x10D8} {User@company.com } Receiving packet from device, size=109, TransactionId=-910330022, Tag=4346, content type=CICAL, cmd=0x3
[40000] (04/11 14:20:16.765):{0x10D8} { [email address] }-HandleAppointmentToSynchronize-Entering-Tag=4346
[40293] (04/11 14:20:16.765):{0x10D8} { [email address] } Calendar synchronization from device disabled. Appointment filtered, Tag=4346
[40000] (04/11 14:20:16.765):{0x10D8} { [email address] }-HandleAppointmentToSynchronize-Exit-rc=Error
[40279] (04/11 14:20:16.765):{0x10D8} { [email address] } SubmitToRelaySendQ, Tag=4346

No CDO Errors
No calhelper.exe

Thanks

Check wireless synchronization under Calendar>Options on the device. Calendar is not something that you can disable under the PIM settings on the BES. It's either disabled through an IT Policy or on the device. Odds are it's the device.

Found the problem. After making changes to the Exchange part of BES. I need to restart my device wireless sync by turning off the wireless sync setting in calendar, saving it, and then turning the setting back on again.
