Default My first cell phone and I'm lost

Please Login to Remove!

I would like to start off saying im in the army and im a geek and i have one of the most geekiest jobs in the army and really dont want to talk about my job other than that... this is my first cell phone a bb 8330(world edition) and i got it because its suppost to work overseas. I never had a cell phone beacuse my home phone worked just fine but now im moving place to place due to the Army. My questions are:
How do i get music and is my phone sdhc combatible
How do i download a army theme or somthing badass to that nature
Where do i get ringtones
Whats the advantages to getting a upgraded OS
What are the basics that everyone does to there phones when they first get it

I know there was another thread on newb questions but it didnt seem like it was relivent to my really NEWB questions and im sorry if i seem anoying but i really am lost in the sause and dont really know what to do and my freind told me to go here...

P.S. im saving this as my homepage to make sure i check the updates
P.P.S. thank you for reading

Check your OS version to see if your BB can support SDHC by going to Options > About then read this What type and size Media Card can I use in my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

I'm not pretty sure about some army theme but you can always go to mobile.blackberry.com from your BB Browser or you can also look here Media Center - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community

same answer above ^^

It would depend on what issues/bugs it fixes. The latest OS for the 8830 is here http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-mobility.html You may want to do some reading on there to be sure

John Clark's "Losing Call Logs, SMS or Emails? Optimize your BB! How To Setup for max free memory!"

For anything else, you can always go to the BlackBerryFAQ. Click the blue phrase below.

Good luck!

I was waiting for a comment like that. But the 8330 isn't the World Edition, is it?
But I have a feeling you're right b/c I saw 8330 on both counts.
I can always update the links especially the HH OS.

What do you think?

Ditto what ripac stated on all...

Some good ringtone sites listed here:
Adding Themes & RingTones - BlackBerryFAQ

I know I have seen some military themes around here in the Media Center. Also look at Themes4BB.com| Free BlackBerry Themes| Multimedia For Your Berry

Good luck, and welcome to the BBForums.

He might have been using a StarTrek Tricorder... light years ahead of a cell phone.

No, the 8330 is not a world edition. It does not have the CDMA/GSM combination.
