Google maps works perfectly. The program finds my position every time instantly, but bb maps never aquires a gps lock even in direct view of the sky. Any ideas why?

I think you have to ask it to find your location. I would check, but I deleted the app and use Gmaps instead cause it is much better.

Ive done that, it never finds me. I also downloaded the 6 month trial of copilot, and it never finds me either

Try mashing menu key and selecting Start GPS Navigation.
