I tried to update the OS on my 8100 and everything was going smooth but when it got to rebooting the JVM it never responded. Then it popped up that i needed to just restore using the desktop manager. That would be fine if the thing would recognize that it is plugged in. The screen on the blackberry is just white with a little box in the middle with a circle square and triangle and that has aslash through it.
Plz help i just got this phone and was trying to update to 4.2.88.

If it says 507 then you need to restart the OS load. If it won't connect see:

P.S. Be patient while the OS is loading. It can take up to 1.25 hours and it will reboot multiple times. Don't disconnect.

Okay It did say 507
I had already restarted the os load and it just finished and the phone is now booting up
Crisis averterd. I hope.

Be patient...it may boot a couple of times. Don't disconnect.
