Default OEM RIM Holster Case Scratching my Silver 7290!!??WTF!

Please Login to Remove!

SO I notice that my new 7290 is being gradually eroded around the backside lower screw holes where it clips into the OEM holster. The holster nubs are rubbing on the skin and scraping off the color and leaving black marks there. It's also happening to a lower degree in the front at the edges around the enter and the alt keys.

I went to T-mobile today and got the new OEM padded case holster for $20. The service guy I complained to also had the same problem with his gray 7290. It seems to be a general thing? so is anyone else having issues with the OEM holsters?

BTW...my 7230 and my 7280 were navy blue and I swore I remember seeing marks like that from the holster but never paid attention because the colors of those wre darker and the scratches weren't noticible. However, it looks horrendous on the greyish silver skin of the T-mobile 7290.

Long know issue with the stock OEM holster that have shipped with BlackBerry all the way back to the 62xx models. there are a tone of options to choose from holster wise I recommend the BlackBerry leather OEM case. http://www.shopblackberry.com/_black...43E5TT8ZHNSCRD as long as the choice you make has the magnet to auto the BlackBerry while holstered your good!

You can always put a magnet inside of the lining, in case it doesn't have the sleep function. I have a holster that I liked, which did not have the magnet. Got a thin sheet of magnet from Wal-Mart and cut a small piece and put inside the lining, it works great.

I just ordered one of those puppies from Blackberry based on your recommendation. I don't want my new BB to get all scratched up!

When you get that case let us know which part number they sent you. I'm curious why they haven't updated the photo of that holster.

This is the one we sell for the 7290 http://store.bizshopr.com/rimrac55059.html

Those black marks from the holster where the only damage ever done to my 7280 in the year I was using it. I hadn't dropped it once.
