Where is the new Blackberry 9000 Bold going to be manufactured?

I've read that blackberry's are made in Canada, Mexico and Hungary and I was just wondering if anybody has heard or read anything on where the 9000 is going to be manufactured.

Also is it different based on where in the world the blackberry is purchased?

Thanks
Paul

Wirelessly posted

I would assume the same, Canada and Mexico. I don't see a reason for a change.

Doesn't matter where your from, your Blackberry will either be from Mexico or Canada.

My best guess would be that the Canadian and American Blackberries are made in Canada, the South American and possibly Pacific (i.e. Japan etc.) Blackberries are made in Mexico, and European Blackberries are made in Hungary.

I think the first batch most likely are made in Canada, then mexico with some are made in Hungary. My tmobile 8120 was made in Hungary. Since it came out a month ago, I consider it is from the first batch. Therefore, it is so hard to predict, just be happy with your Bold when you get it, right?

the canadian lcd's have a greenish tint

if you know anything about lcd's..you know the good quality ones are usually in low supply...samsung and LG are the usual suppliers....samsung have greener tints to them while LG's are more gray..but less white

It's a conspiracy, I tell you. Inferior LCD screens here and inferior build quality there...

no, i'm sorry but its just simple not going to happen like that... RIM would ship every plant the same parts! canada is going to get LCD from samsung, and then mexico gets ones from LG... not going to happen... that would go against everything they are known for for quality control...

There is a possibility that certain LCDs in a batch had problems, but I have to agree with Cory on this one that all assembly plants likely had access to the same hardware.

This thread is about the bold and not the curve. All bolds for North America have so far been made in Canada so how would you know that the possibly future made in Mexico bold would have a different LCD?
