Default How do I transfer pics from blackberry to pc?

Please Login to Remove!

I have tried everything.

The only way i can do that is by sending them via bluetooth to email.
Which is anoyying.

Also, how can I store all my contact info (phone numbers and so on)
On a usb or cd?

Welcome to the BBforums.

1. Are they on your Media Card or device memory? Either way, move them to your PC via Media Manager, or from Device Memory to your Media Card, and then follow this tip on using Mass Storage Mode:
How do I add media files to my microSD card? - BlackBerryFAQ

2. Store your contacts in your Address Book. I am not sure why you asked about USB or CD... what do you mean?

Yeah, I want to make a backup somewhere incase my blackberry gets destroyed.

I tried the desktop manager, media manager....
On pictures I get a BBthumbs.dat which i got no clue how to open that.

And I want to LOOK at my pics in my pc, not transfer them to a micro sd.

Desktop Manager > Backup.
or
Desktop Manager > Sync (for your Address Book, Calendar, Tasks and Memos).

BlackBerry Desktop Manager Downloads - BlackBerryFAQ
I would recommend Version 4.2 withOUT the Media Manager software.

Wirelessly posted

I just send them in an email. I know I can't be the only one who does this.

The bbthumbs.dat file is in the device memory, for the device to display thumbnails. Not vieawable otherwise. Let it be.

are you sure that you have the right path?? Maybe you store the pictures to the media card rather than the device storage. I would double check your path to the pictures.

I believed I checked everything but I could be wrong.

I don't believe you have checked everything. On your BB look at your Media icon and device memory. Are the picture there? Then highlight one > Menu > Move > and move it to your Media Card.

A quick question for JSanders, what software version should someone use from the download list? I'm using a model 8300. I see the download choices but not 8300.

@ kentown--From which download list? For your Operating System? if you look at the top of this 8300 section you will see an OS for the 8300. See the Sticky Notes highlighted in Yellow, with "Attention".
