as long as you get the PIN released by O2 you wont have any problems. Call them up, release it, then go to the vodafone page and register it, you wont have any issues.

You will need to get a blackberry internet service tariff from Vodafone to enable you to set up email on the device.

This will need to be added to a pay monthly sim card not pay and go.

Vodafones blackberry tariff is a bit pricey compared to o2, orange & t mobile uk.

i have alraady done the email thing with Vodafone. is there any other way to get 02 to release the pin, cause its a mobile i kept from my previous company and now it needs to be on vodafone rather than 02 and i dont know any of the details from when it was on 02 as it was a company phone

Have you tried phoning o2 and explaining the situation and asking them if they will release the pin?
If the account was registerrd to your previous company they could request that the pin be released as o2 often prefers to deal with the owner of the previous account.

Ah,I see. I am afraid that you may be stuck then as o2 will probably only release under instruction from your old company and only o2 can release the pin to my knowledge unfortunately.

You could try RIM but that may be a long shot.

RIM is the maker of blackberry.

I don't wanna preach to you buy would you not consider returning this device to your previous company or at least ask them if you could perhaps purchase it of them? If you did they would release the pin for you.

Also you can get a free brand new bb on certain voice contracts in the uk.

O2 has a deal at the moment where the blackberry internet service bolt on is free on £35 or over 18 - 24 contracts.

If you are still have issue, go to Options, Advanced Options, Host Routing Table. Then hit your blackberry button and select Register now... this will also release your PIN from O2 if it is still stuck there.

I have used it on multiple devices and has always worked for me.

Hope it helps,

Kris
