Hi All,

I downloaded MSN,Yahoo and Google maps to my blackberry 8110 . The GPS tracking is working fine with all the above applications.

But only MSN maps are keeping the backlight on when I am driving with GPS tracking.
Google and Yahoo maps GPS tracking is NOT keeping the backlight on . Can we do anything to keep the backligh always on while driving with GPS tracking like MSN maps ?

Google Maps will keep the backlight on if you it "0" to "Go to my location."

I don't agree: if you press 0 google will keep the backlight on only if you are moving... If you stop for some times, the screen becomes dark.

I am still battling this problem and would love to know how to keep the light on

Also, I would like to know how to keep the direction I am going at the top of the screen instead of North being up

Aside from what was stated above you'd need to use bblight or something as Google Maps does not have a backlight option.

IIRC, it's not possible in Google Maps.
