I have read the help section on my blackberry curve 8330 and can still not figure it out. I want to add the numbers in my address book that have blackberrys to my bbm contacts.
This is what I am doing:
Open the bbm app
click the menu button over contacts
click add contact
Then I select the name i want from my address book
Then I hit the select button, and click full menu
Now what do i do from here?
My choices are:, help, select(which just puts the cursor on a screen with the persons number, edit, delete, activity log, voice mail, add speed dial, send to messenger contact, switch app, close


A friend added his contact to my phone but did not get a chance to how me how, so there is nothing wrong with the blackberry.

PS... How do I call a number from my speed dial( for example the first person in my speed dial, what do I hit to call them?)

Open BBM, and select "add contact"

This will take you to your address book where you can select who you want.

If you hold down they key you want to assign speed dial # too, it will open the speed dial menu.

you need to have the contact you are adding's PIN #, then go to that and select it.

Make sure when you highlight the name you push the menu key and not the trackball and add by pin. And make sure the pin is stored in the contact information. It has been known not to work if not stored.

ok, also how do I find my pin? Just have them text me their pin to get theres?

you can also type mypin and hit space and autotext will show your pin.
