Default 8830 Problem! Help Please!

Please Login to Remove!

I recently picked up the 8830 World Edition and been having some problems with it. Sometimes I try to dial a number and when I het the Send button it doesnt ring but on the screen it says Calling but nothing is happening. This has happened many times but not all the time. Is it some setting I have wrong, also a few times I have had people try to call me and they say its just busy and Im not on the phone or anything and I could miss some very important calls. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Mike

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Hi
Is the phone activated?
I am on wap so I can't see your carrier but for VZW users & have to dial *228 to activate the phone.

Im with TBayTel in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Phone is activated I bought it through their mobility office. Like this morning I tried calling somebody and it didnt dial or ring just sat there but screen showed Calling but it was not calling anybody but after a few hours I tried calling and it worked. I think I will be going down to TBayTel's Mobility office and replacing this one because this is not acceptable I'm still under warranty so it should not be an issue. But Id like to avoid that as with my luck it will probably work when they test it as it works sometimes but not all the time, its strange problem.

This happens sometimes to me on Verizon too. I just hang up and redial. My guess is that the problem is on the networks side.
