We have not yet started our BB implementation. I just wanted to know if anyone has had success getting BES to support 2 seperate mail domains. For example we have 2 seperate Domino servers: on server1 --> domainname1.com and on server2 --> domainname2.com.

Would I need a seperate BES for each Domino mail domain?


They are all on the same lan in same office. I do have a 3rd domino server that just has databases on it. If that helps with my situation.

The Domino server that will host the Blackberry Enterprise Server must be a member of the LocalDomainServers group

For Multi-Domain support, ensure that:
The Domino server that will host the Blackberry Enterprise Server contains connection documents for Domino servers in other domains that it will replicate with the Domino server that will host the Blackberry Enterprise Server has directory assistance enabled for every other domain
The Domino server that will host the Blackberry Enterprise Server must be installed with the ‘primary Domino Directory’ Option

If you follow the rules as laid out by RIM, it does work for multi-domains. We have tested this and found it functional.
