I'm looking at purchasing this sucker here:

8GB of data storing goodness, but will the 8330 from Verizon work with it? Will it recognize it all or will it limit me to the first couple gigs of space?

The size of card you can have is dependent on your OS version. I believe the 4.3 OS takes 8GB.

PS In theory you can buy, say, an 8GB media card for a BB OS that uses up to 4GB cards. Just use as is, if able to, or format to the lower capacity for use. Once you (eventually) upgrade the OS, just reformat the card to the higher capacity.

I'm currently using 8gig on my phone. Works flawless. You shouldn't have any problems with yours. My phone has 4.3 OS.

I'm using a 4GB card but I have OS 4.2.x. I've got tons of music on it, and have half of the space left. If Alltel gets a higher OS available I'll upgrade, and probably will get an 8GB card then if I can find a good price on them. Right now they are pretty expensive but that will change.
