Default RIM Outage 7/25?

Please Login to Remove!

I received this from an internal group that handles emergency stuff. Is it true?

Research In Motion (RIM) has announced an upcoming outage that will affect all BlackBerry users in the Americas due to planned software maintenance. This scheduled outage will begin on July 25, 2008 16:00:00 (PDT) through July 25, 2008 22:00:00 (PDT). The outage will be a total of 2 hours sometime during that timeframe. This will be a 100% outage. BlackBerry users will be unable to send or receive messages, register their device, roam in another location, or use other services such as Internet browsing during this scheduled maintenance. Cell phone service will not be interrupted.

you should edit the title to say xxxxx 7/25 as the date in the body of the message reads that way.

Yes, this is a normal thing

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone have the official RIM notice? I would like to send out the notice to our users.
