I have seen a post on BerryReview about the version listed above. Any users? I am currently running the "official" 4.5.0.52 version for the 8320 from Orange on my 8320.... worthwhile to upgrade or wait for the official TMO release????

Thanks!

It's a worthwhile upgrade. However, no carriers have officially released it.

I have found that the memory management is much better in this release, at least for me. I don't see the memory fluctuating as much as I did with the .52 release.

.55 seems to be a bit less sluggish than .52 I had some issues with lag.

I have more memory with .55 but my signal is 1 bar less and it takes longer to re-acquire a signal once it's dropped. Also seems more sluggish when switching apps. I constantly get a uncaught exception error when using jivetalk which causes my BB to freeze for 30-60 seconds then boots me out of JT.

Wirelessly posted (All the cool kids are doing it)

I don't have UMA on my plan but I have found that if I have wifi on and try and make a call it keeps failing. On .52 I could have wifi on and still make calls

Everyone on TMobile has UMA on their plan. Just because you don't subscribe to H@H doesn't mean you can't use UMA. I don't have an @Home plan (on a corporate plan) and I use UMA all the time.

Just as a warning to everyone.... Life was going along well with .55 and then all of the sudden it just took a crap on me and I get the sim rejected message.... Tried the sim in 2 other phones and I either get an unregistered sim error or just no service.

I was using the BB to send a few text messages back and forth, picked it up to see what time it was and noticed it said sim rejected. The battery was low, but not dead yet.

I'm going to mess with it a little more and then just goto the store to get a new card tomorrow... Fun times...

Sorry to hear about the problems. I have it on three 8320's right now and haven't had any problems so far.

Yup, rolled back to 4.2.2.180 to make the process go easier tomorrow. Sounds like it should be a quick fix of a new sim and I'll be on my way. Think I'll roll back to .42 as it was pretty good for me.

.55 had a few other issues, the voice recognition worked in MS Live search, but if you used it a few times, it'd start saying waiting for bluetooth and then it'd listen for you and say it couldn't hear you. After that had occurred I could no longer make a phone call and hear anything in the earpiece until I pulled the battery.

Not much fun so I'll get back to .42 and watch what happens with everyone else on this one. If everyone else is good to go I may give it another shot, we'll see.

I just saw this on another site. It's what you need, but it's NOT a link--->
