I hear that it will be a world phone so I assume people with AT&T or TMO can use it here. Might not get the 3g to work being that TMO will be on a different freq but better than nothing...I'll take it..
As I have previously said, the Thunder HAS been running on Rogers although many of you didn't believe me. I also said this would work unlocked on AT&T and we now see that is the case. So now you see I wasn't full of BS and was telling you the truth. ;)

Preloaded sim does not mean it can or will be unlocked for GSM use domestically.

Yes, if in fact, it's being used on Rogers then it will work here in the US. We'll have to see. Most probably assumed that the frequencies would be the same as the 8830 but maybe they made it a quad-band GSM. That would be nice!

Not that far fetched...but it would be nice to see a screenshot of it with a North American GSM sim card in it.

It would be nice to see ANY kind of screenshot at this point. Geesh, I can't take it anymore.

I was reading different blogs about Blackberry thunder and Storm. One of the Online retailers Blog Fommy Blog - The insider news and reviews says that both will be same devices but different names. The BlackBerry Storm will be the CDMA version for Verizon and BlackBerry Thunder is the GSM for Rogers, Vodafone, and the likes. Most of the specs for the two devices should be the same.
