I've been trying to downgrade from 4.5 to 4.3 all day today with no luck. I've read the easy to follow steps but ALL the links I've found says I can find the BB OS 4.3 here...

That just let's me download Desktop Manager Version 4.3. Where do I download the Device Software???

I have downloaded the 4.3 Desktop Manager and plugged my BB Curve 8310 thinking it would auto download the device's version but it didn't. I clicked on the Application Loader but nothing happened.
I even went and deleted the vendor and still nothing.

I want to downgrade cause after I upgraded to 4.5, the ringtones on my device weren't nearly as loud as with the previous version I had on my phone.

There is NO OS 4.3 for the 8310. It was never released to any carrier.

You might choose to downgrade to a 4.2 version. It is listed right there in your link you provided, by using the 8310 link.

Hi! i have an unlocked blackberry from AT&T which i wanted to use in the UAE. But the thing is it keeps searching for networks every few minutes. Is this a hardware issue or do you think i should downgrade the os. my current os is v4.2.2.170 (Platform 2.5.0.30). please help!

Sure you want to downgrade just because of a ring tone volume? 4.5 brings so much more to the BB then 4.2 did. I personally would be inclined to live with that minor inconvenience. But to each his own I guess.

I also miss the volume loudness of 4.2.....its like night and day!! But the benefits of 4.5 are far greater than the volume issue..but still do put out a plea for the return of the VOLUME!
