As the title says...Everytime I press the trackball down it behaves as if I pressed Q.

It goes and comes so I'm not sure what is going on.

Sounds like a moisture issue in the keypad. Did you drop it or at some point get moisture on the BB. Remember, something as simple as having the BB in the bathroom while you shower can get moisture in the device.

not that i know of...I live in the dorm so i don't take it in the bathroom with me.

lets say that is the case...is there a fix?

I really don't think I got it wet...

But I will look at that guide to see if it helps.

Uh, I ate Pringles chips the other day at the race track, then checked the weather on the BB and my trackball froze up when a salt particle wedged into it...I could scroll side to side, but not up and down...I started to sweat...then I wiped it down with a baby wipe and paper towel and it worked again...pfeew!
