Hi there,

One of my support guys has notified me that a BB can't open Office 2007 documents. So far, this is our first call in regards to open Office 2007 documents. The support guy has loaded the latest OS on the BB, and I'm thinking whether this might have to do with the BES ver or sp level. Does anyone know?

What version/SP of BES?

You need to be at BES 4.1.4 or later for Office 2007 support.

Yeah not even with docs to go ! That's another reason I would not pay $60 for a product that doesn't even support the lastest version of Office

My BES is on 4.1.2.25. Can I just install the 4.1.4 patch/service pack on top of it. Is there any interim patch that I need to install first? Sorry, I'm kind of new with BES.

Does anyone know if there is any problem after installing 4.1.4 patch?

Does the handset have to have a certain version too or is it just BES that needs to be 4.1.4?

BB OS has to be at least 4.5

Nope,

BB OS must be on 4.5. BES needs to be on 4.1.6.

I did the upgrade like two months ago, so I'm certain about this.

eh......office 2007 was supported with BES 4.1.4........that's what we just established in this thread......
(are you referring to anything with documents to go?)

All my handsets have 4.5 and my BES is 4.1.6 so I'm good but I have a customer whose BES is 4.1.6 but have some 7290's with OS 4.0 and he wan't to know if office 2007 will work and i just can't remember....
