Default Seidio extended batteries?

Please Login to Remove!

I am thinking of getting one of the Seidio extended batteries b/c I seem to be using my phone a lot with my job. I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with it? I am thinking of either getting the "Innocell 1500 Extended Life Battery" or the "Innocell 2600 Extended Life Battery"?

I have been using the 2600 mAh for 6-7 months now without issue. I can get 3+ days on a charge with moderate usage...

I have the 2600 and it is awesome. The only problem is, you really can't use a top loading pouch... I have not been able to find something other than a side holster...

If anyone has found a top pouch like the original Blackberry (which also comes with the magnet), please let me know.

FYI, I had the 8820 for a while, and that battery was great compared to the standard Curve one. I had to get the extended battery!

I like that the Curve is bigger with the extended system...

Regards,
R

Wirelessly posted (by a fat naked guy!)

I have a 2600 for my curve and I use the heck out of my phone and it stays charged for a good 2 days. I highly recommend them

i am also interested in the 1500mAh one (i'd rather have my blackberry keep its form...for now at least)
how much of an improvement would you say the 1500mAh is over the one that comes with the cure (i have a 8320)?

Can someone with the Innocell 2600 post some pics of how the battey cover that comes with it goes on?

If you tried to use this case with the extended battery do you think you would take the battery door that came with the 2600 off and just use the case?

Hope that makes sense.

Sheesh what a nightmare post....

I just figured my own question out but for the sake of those who may wonder the same thing I'll post the answer.

If you buy this battery and then you buy this case the case will go on over the extended battery door.

I know someone's going "Duh of course it does." well, Shut Up

NOT MUCH.
I just sent back the 1500 and ordered the 2600.
I could see very little difference in the battery life of the 1500 from the original.
I have Alltel service and the 8330 curve on alltel just absolutely eats a battery down in less than a full day. Sometimes less than 8 hours if used heavily.

Well, the original battery was doing a pretty darn good job for me originally, but I still decided to go with the 1500 battery to keep the form factor. I have noticed a big difference and can go much longer than the original one now. I should add here that I am typically a "charge every night" kind of guy, but I notice what percentage I have left at the end of the day. I especially notice the difference in what is left when I am using the GPS functionality a lot. The 1500 keeps you going no problems even after navigating quite heavily with Telenav and using TeeDroid for GPS'ing on the golf course. Very impressed with it over the last 5 months of using it.

The original battery is 1100mAh. I bought the 1500 and can get nearly 2 full days out of it. However, I always recharge in the morning. I tried the 2600, but it's just too bulky to carry around all day.

Have to disagree with auart and second what casmer said. As jswriter posted, the OEM battery is 1100 mAh so simple math will tell you that the 1500 has 36% more capacity. If you're expecting double or something, you'll be disappointed. But for me, using the Curve pretty heavily, its made the difference between sometimes running low before the day's over, and having enough to get through the day 98% of the time, before I put it on its charge cradle when I go to bed.

Default Top loading case ?

So, with the Seidio 2600 mah extended battery and case, the curve will NOT fit the standard BB vertical leather case?
BlackBerry Leather Holster with Swivel Belt Clip for Curve - ShopCrackBerry

I want to get a case with the magnet to take advantage of the 'in-holster' features of the Curve...

Suggestions? I am also open to a horizontal case if anyone can recommend a good quality one.

I have the 1500 and have found it an excellent improvement. As with others I didn't want to change the form factor so I chose the 1500. It has taken me from needing a recharge every 2-3 days to a pretty consistent twice a week schedule. Before it seemed like I would always run low at times when access to a charger wasn't available. My usage is very peaky and variable. Typically I use it much more on the weekends then during the week. With the new battery, I charge every Monday morning and Friday afternoon. I've found that this schedule keeps my phone always ready with enough power to do whatever I need.
