I smell something in the air, hmmm what could that be? Lawsuit... What a great advacement in keyboard technology I wonder where they ever got the idea from?
I have heard of Blackberry software tested on TREO's -- time will tell if this becomes a standard feature for TREO. That's the tidbit of information I am the most interested in.
The Treo 650 will no doubt be a much better multimedia device (Video | MP3 | Photos | GPS | etc) and the CPU is just about fast enough for VHS/TV-quality video but how good a communications device will it be? How much the keyboard has improved? Battery life better than Treo 600? Reliability? Always-On-ness? Ability to run resident Internet software like instant messengers without killing battery? Ruggedness - Withstand drops as well as a Blackberry? Etc. There's so many things that a Blackberry is trusted for.
Treo has licensed the RIM thumb keyboard. No lawsuit danger.
There used to be a lawsuit regarding thumb keyboards with a competing thumb keyboard but got resolved in RIM's favour more than a year ago if I remember right...
