Hi all, I'm new to BB and I have a question.

I downloaded to my PC some applications (jar files) for BB Pearl 8120, and I want to install them on it. As I could understand, this is done through Desktop Manager->Application Loader. But when I start Application Loader, instead of displaying list of applications currently installed on my BB, it displays an error message like this:

"The blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator"


The version of my BB OS is 4.3.0.94 (Platform 2.6.0.54), but the version of the Desktop Manager is 4.3.0.91. I don't know if this has something to the with the error.
But I have also to mention that the Desktop Manager software is the one I got on a BB CD, and the same one can be downloaded from BB website.

Can anyone help, and explain me how to handle this?

Jar/jad software can only be added via OTA(Over_the_air). You can add them to your memory card and open them from there. That works for some of them.

The desktop manager deals with Alx/cod files

Is there a link that tells you how to do that?

I need help with this as well. It also said that I need to move the cod files with the same application files?
I don't understand that..
